My Dream:
I was driving home and it was raining heavy. It was overcast and I had my windshield wipers on. I came to a place where the entire street area was flooded (kind of like the flooding we just had here in Charleston recently). The water was so high it came up to the door handle on my car. Due to the height of the water I had to come to a stop. I came to a stop where there were other people in their cars parked in the flood. As I am sitting in my car, I see another vehicle parked in the flood waters directly across from me some way away. I take notice of electrical lines that are above the vehicle. As I am looking at the electrical line I see a power transformer and it falls on top of the car. I know that the high electrical voltage has killed the person inside the car. As I am watching, I see the electrical current travel from the other car through the water coming intentionally and directly towards me. I can literally see it traveling through the flood waters coming for me. As I see the current coming I immediately start praying to the Lord because I think I am going to die. As the electricity hits my car it causes a huge impact and rocks my vehicle. I feel the jolt immediately and it hurts me. I can physically feel the pain of the jolt but it does not kill me.

I am then back at my home after the accident has occurred. (I am not sure how I got home I just know in my dream that I am home now). I know that from the electrical accident that I was burned badly but that I sustained no other injuries. I go into my bathroom and lift up my shirt to see the electrical burns. The burns are not normal burns and I have them mainly in 3 places. I have a huge patch on my front left shoulder and chest, a smaller patch on the right side of my back and a tiny patch in the lower middle part of my back over my spine. The burns are not wounds, rather they are raised like dark pink scar tissue. The burns are healed but they have letters inscribed into them. They appear to be random letters and the more I look I cannot seem to decipher what it means. I see a huge letter "A" on my left shoulder. That is the only letter I can definitively see - the others seems to be hidden from me. I look to see if it spells out anything but I cannot seem to find the meaning but I feel that they mean something significant. On the patch on the middle of my back I see smaller letters like forming sentences but I cannot see what they say. I know in my dream that the burns are imprints. They were imprinted onto me when the electricity struck me. (I know that somehow the imprints were left from my body being up against something when the electricity struck me). It permanently left my body marked with letters. Even though I had permanent scar letters all over my body for some reason I was excited about them. I felt as though they had changed my person somehow. Like they had imprinted something permanently onto my person. Almost like they had empowered me.

The interpretation of the dream:

This dream was for me personally but also for the body of Christ as a whole. The electricity represents a sudden change - a process that most people do not survive but that I survive. The scars from the burns represent our life story. The large burn over my upper left chest and shoulder represents power - that God is going to empower us. The letter A is the first letter in the alphabet. It is represented by the number 1 which represents unity. In this instance it represents unity with God. The burn over the middle of my back right over my spine represents inferiority. It represents the ways in which you have been made to feel inferior but that God has written His plans for you over that area. His strength is made perfect in our weakness. The scar on my lower right back represents injustice. It speaks of the way that God is going to use the things that have unjustly happened to us to help us minister to others. It also represents how we can defend those who cannot defend themselves.
Everything that has happened in your life has happened for a reason. God is going to use what has occurred in your past to help others.


January 2016

I was reading Isaiah chapter 7:3-4
Then the LORD said to Isaiah, "Go out now to meet Ahaz, you and your son Shear-jashub, at the end of the conduit of the upper pool, on the highway to the fuller's field,
v. 4 and say to him, 'Take care and be calm, have no fear and do not be fainthearted because of these two stubs of smoldering firebrands, on account of the fierce anger of Rezin and Aram and the son of Remaliah.

As I was reading this I felt impressed of the Lord to research the meaning of the names in verse 3. I have found in scripture that whenever names are listed together and usually in threes there is a reason. God told Isaiah to take his son with him. Why? When we look closer into the meaning of these three men's names it makes sense.

Isaiah means "The salvation of the Lord"

Ahaz means "Yahweh has held"

Shear-Jashub means "The remnant shall remain"

So when we read out their names in the order that they are stated in verse 3 we have

"The salvation of the Lord Yahweh has held the remnant that shall remain"

The context of chapter 7 is the prophesied destruction of Ephraim in 65 years. 65 means the shattering. So what implication does this have? God's grace is always there even in the darkest hour. He is the same yesterday, today and forever.


November 2015

During this time I was praying to the Lord concerning unanswered prayers in my life.

The Lord said to me that faith is not about trying to reach for something that you do not have. It is not about trying to reel in something that you do not possess. It is about guarding what you already possess in Christ. This is why faith is called a shield. "in addition to all, taking up the shield of faith with which you will be able to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one."
Ephesians 6:16



Commentary

God has already given you everything that you need. You just have to guard it by using your faith. If you need healing have faith in (guard) what Christ has already provided for you on the Cross. When we ask God for something we must come to Him from a place of fullness, not from a place of emptiness. That is true faith. It is coming to Him knowing that you already have everything that you need.

"By faith Enoch was taken up so that he would not see death; AND HE WAS NOT FOUND BECAUSE GOD TOOK HIM UP; for he obtained the witness that before his being taken up he was pleasing to God. 6 And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him. 7 By faith Noah, being warned by God about things not yet seen, in reverence prepared an ark for the salvation of his household, by which he condemned the world, and became an heir of the righteousness which is according to faith." Hebrews 11:5-7 


October 2015

Doves will not rest or eat a dead body. A dove also does not contain a gallbladder in which to hold bile in its body. A dove's wingtips are bent upward towards the heavens. Wild doves are also very difficult to catch.

I think that this so amazingly represents the Holy Spirit in symbolism. The Holy Spirit must live in a body that is alive spiritually, He does not hold onto things of the past such as bitterness, He is ever directing us towards Jesus and you can never know which way He is coming or going. He cannot be put into a cage or a box.
